Pair of Salomé for the Ball in Brocaded Satin from the Designer House Friedmann Paris Circa 1920
Pair of Salomé or pumps for ball in brocaded satin from the designer house Friedmann circa 1915/1920. Located at 6 rue Barye in Paris, the designer house Friedmann works for Haute Couture and is notably a supplier to the Court of Russia, which fell in 1917. Very beautiful interior engraving in gold letters with the coat of arms of the Court of Russia. Refined work of gray leather covered with a black satin embroidered with flowers in shades of pink, green, blue, yellow and white. Side closure with black pearl button. Interesting detail of piping in golden leather, bordering the sole and the openings of the shoe. Note a repair on the top of a shoe but silk in very good condition, not removed. Wear marks from its use under the sole without indication of size. Wearable shoes in this condition but before anything else for the Collection. Very good general condition of color and conservation.
