Large ecru linen jacket with vermilion red and green cotton lining by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac for Ko and Co. Loose-fitting coat with high collar and shoulder pads for ease of movement, button fastening at the front. Judicious metal zip pockets underlined by red and green cotton ribbons echoing the two-tone lining. In the back, a large metal zip also opens onto the lining. 100% linen and 100% cotton with the famous Jean-Charles de Castelbajac KO and CO printed label, size 2. No flaws, probably never worn. Very good colour and condition.

Dimensions: Noted size 2, equivalent size 56-58 France. Height 79 cm, shoulders 64 cm, sleeves 64 cm, bust 112 cm, waist 101 cm, hips 119 cm.

From 1970 to 1995, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac's collections were produced in collaboration with his mother Jeanne de Castelbajac, co-founder of Ko and Co. In her Limoges workshop, a thousand ideas were born, including the diversion of materials in the 1970s, around the concept of starting with the end in mind and using fabrics made from textile waste: floor cloths and industrial blankets, the beginnings of upcycling.
All Ko and Co creations were cut flat, following the architecture of medieval garments and Asian kimonos. Jean-Charles and his mother had a close bond, and he imagined the most extravagant creations, which Jeanne de Castelbajac turned into reality.
