A remarkable frock coat from the golden years of Christian Lacroix Haute Couture. Inspired by Mariano Fortuny, this black silk velvet is finely printed with gold and coral cypress motifs, celebrating the Italian Renaissance or the Ottoman Empire of the 16th century. The slim-fitting, hipped cut is underlined by baroque pocket flaps embroidered with braids of leather, wool and gold canetilles, with an echo at the collar! Four large cloisonné enamel buttons and a glass ruby cabochon close this princely-looking jacket. Musketeer-style cuffs also adorned with four matching buttons. Black satin lining and famous fuchsia label indicating Christian Lacroix Paris, Made in France. No signs of wear or wear, no flaws. Very good colour and condition.
