Iconic Yves Saint Laurent Haute Couture little black dress numbered 34406 and dating from the 1970s. Straight cut, slightly flared at the bottom, large oval neckline and long sleeves in slightly stretchy blistered jersey. Similar model worn by the Russian dancer Maïa Plitssetskaïa before the performance of the Rose Malade (Gustave Malher, Yves Saint Laurent, Roland Petit) at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow in 1973. Good general condition of colour and conservation.

Dimensions: Equivalent to French size 36-37. Height 119 cm, shoulders 38 cm, sleeves 58 cm, chest 85-88 cm, waist 72 cm, hips 88-92 cm.

"The black one. I love it because it asserts, it draws, it styles: a woman in a black dress is a pencil stroke". Yves Saint Laurent ( Elle France 1968).

Dress presented in France in Lille and Toulon as part of the exhibition "Yves Saint Laurent, a timeless wardrobe" in 2021 and 2022.
