Astonishing tricolor skirt suit in Bar suit style dating from the Liberation of France around 1944/1945. Silk twill or fibranne (?) woven with checks made with small blue and red herringbone patterns on a white background. Fitted jacket with a small shawl collar and short sleeves with turn-ups and triangular yokes to mark the hips. Large buttons covered with the same fabric. Elegant straight skirt with box pleats on the front and steel zip fastening on the back. Set made at home or by a local seamstress taking the rationing period into account. Small halos under the armpits and some very slight yellowing at the folds, otherwise no hole or stain. Very good condition of color and conservation.
