Vintage Hermès square entitled "Carrosses d'Or" in a design by Vladimir Rybaltchenko. The first edition dates from 1987, and the second edition from 1990, and has not been reprinted since. Fluid printed silk twill with hand-rolled edges in shades of golden yellow, navy blue and blue. Royal composition inspired by the 17th and 18th centuries of four gold carriages from the coronations of European dynasties. Drawing framed with ironwork illuminations, crowned with royal coats of arms. In the centre is the title Carrosses d'Or and at the bottom Hermès Paris. There are no major faults to report apart from a few tiny fold marks in the centre, which is in blue shading (see last photo). No holes or major defects. Good general condition in terms of colour and conservation.
