Kaftan Coat in Striped Satin and Cotton Ikat Uzbekistan Circa 1970
Circa 1970
Uzbekistan
Beautiful Vintage evening or party Kaftan coat, in satin striped with large fuschia and green bands, originally from Turkey and dating from the 1960s / 1970s. Silk twill sewn in broad bands with assumed theatricality. Loose fit of an Uzbek coat with long rolled up sleeves and edged with a braid of woven wool in salmon, blue and white colors. Interesting cotton lining printed with red and blue Ikat pattern effect, probably from Russia. Coat for men or women, clean and without dirt. Note, silk slightly stretched over two areas (limited to 2 cm each) at the neck in the back, otherwise good overall solid structure. Very good condition of color and conservation.
