Evening Kimono in Embroidered Silk Satin from China Circa 1900/1950

Elegant evening jacket or Kimono in yellow green silk satin embroidered from China between 1900 and 1950. Old ceremonial skirt dating from the Qing-China period, densely embroidered with dalhia and Taoist symbols with polychrome silk thread and golden threads. Rim of the jacket and cuffs are appliqued with black woven satin and a white silk ribbon. Jacket fully lined with an orange salmon silk pongee as a reminder of the color of the flowers. It was frequent during the first half of the XXth century, that the couturiers cut traditional clothes, to update them in orientalist or chinese spirit of dream in Fashion in Europe. Very good quality of green silk and unaltered embroidery. Note a few tiny halos under the arms and rare and tiny spots of discoloration only in the lining (not visible when worn). Otherwise very good condition of color and conservation.
Dimensions: Dressed on a French Size 36 Model. Height 65 cm Shoulders 40 cm, Sleeve 40 cm and 42 cm long. Chest 94 cm. Size 99 cm.
