Majestic cocktail dress in embroidered tulle by Pierre Balmain Haute Couture numbered 127770 dated from the Spring Summer 1963 Collection with prestigious provenance. Short sheath dress and large open back neckline with side zipper in the back. Internal bustier in cream tulle entirely boned with balconette bra and tightening tabs. Superb embroidery from Maison Rébé or Lesage (who both worked for Maison Balmain) with large motifs of white pearls, turquoise, golden threads and ecru raffia on a background of cream tulle. Two predominantly Turquoise friezes adorn the neckline and the bottom of the dress. Under skirt in ecru satin.. White label, black graphic Pierre Balmain Paris with cotton bolduc numbered 127770.
Provenance from Wardrobe of Madame Jeanne Augier, famous owner of the Palais Négresko in Nice Côte d'Azur (see last photos, including Balmain archive and the last Jeanne Augier with Salvador Dali a few years later). No defect, clean dress because maintained in the rules of Haute Couture. Excellent condition of color and conservation.
Measurement: French equivalent size 36/38. Height 79 cm, chest 94 cm, waist 72 cm.
