Summer 1934 Collection
France
Haute Couture afternoon coat by Jeanne Lanvin in absinthe green mottled wool knit underlined by an orange scarf, integrated into the neckline. Straight cut, long sleeves, fastened with a press stud in front. Fine topstitching on the armholes, cuffs and scarf, specific to the work of Jeanne Lanvin. Famous logo stamp indicating Summer 1934 Jeanne Lanvin Paris 22 Fbg St Honoré (tears in the stamp) and a cotton bolduc on the back numbered 44070. The absinthe green silk crepe lining is flawed in several places, probably due to chemical degradation of the iron-laden silk. No stains or holes in the wool. Very good condition apart from the lining. Collector's item.
