Jeanne Lanvin Haute Couture Dress-Coat in Wool Circa 1945
Dress-Coat or Redingote in chestnut curly wool from the Haute Couture Designer House Jeanne Lanvin probably before her death around 1945. Astonishing brocaded Jacquart background in curlt wool with loops and vermiculated decoration. Skirt with large background, small leg-of-muttons sleeves gathereded on the shoulders and raised Mandarin collar. Dress highlighted by a brown satin piping that is found in the lining of the coat. Closed at the front by four jewelry buttons mounted in cabochon of chains and brass pearls and held in place by brown satin loops. Label white background black grpahics Lanvin 22 Faubg St Honoré Paris. Very good condition of color and conservation.
