Rare post-war evening dress in black wool by Jeanne Lanvin from the Summer collection of 1947. Sheath dress with train with Watteau pleating effect at the back. Boned bustier with Empire line, fully embroidered with celadon green sequins with geometric patterns and holding by two matching straps. Superb work of the back in oblique with wide knot in spangles and work of the train with box pleats. Closure of the dress by zip and hook at the back. Label white background black graphics Jeanne Lanvin Paris Unis France Summer 1947 numbered 90118 by hand. Very slight trace of iron on the front of the dress very difficult to notice, otherwise very good color and conservation.
