Black waxed satin bolero and trapeze skirt by Vatan Couture France Circa 1960

Amazing Japanese skirt and bolero set in black waxed satin from the House of M.A Vatan in Dijon dating from the early 1960s. Loose bolero with small officer collar and short sleeves Kimono. Obvious reference to the revolution operated in fashion by Yves Saint Laurent and Cristobal Balenciaga, especially with the Trapeze line in 1958. Beautiful blousante back dress obtained by plumbs in the hem of the bottom of the Bolero. Straight skirt high waist with side pockets stucturing the hips. Zipper in the back. Bolero lined with black satin and label indicating Couture M.A Vatan Dijon. All sewing finishes are done by hand. No defects to note. Very good condition of color and conservation.
