The famous seamstress Elsa Schiaparelli left France at the start of the Second World War to settle in the United States. From that time, she signed with Kaiser, a stocking company, which seems to be the very first license agreement in the modern sense. The graphics and the lipstrick red and Schocking Pink box enjoyed real success in the USA until the late 1950s.
