France
A touching tricolour and patriotic simple dress dating from the Liberation of France after the Second World War in 1944. After several years of scarcity, the dress was often made at home using recycled materials. Here, the back of the dress is made from a white cotton bed sheet. Machine embroidery in a semis of tricoloured flowers, because patriotic colours were all the rage! Simple, sleeveless dress, collar with two turned-down points adorned with two matching buttons. The skirt has a godet on the front for ease and two slanted pockets, with a zip on one side. No lining. Clean dress, no stains or holes. Good condition.
Dimensions: French size 36-38. Height 113 cm, chest 92 cm, waist 79 cm, hips 93 cm, shoulder 43 cm.
