Jean-Charles Worth Evening Dress (attributed to) in Bouillonné Taffeta Circa 1935
Amazing evening dress with train in black silk taffeta from a Parisian wardrobe mainly made up of Jean-Charles Worth Haute Couture Dress Circa 1935. Generous long dress with V-shaped backless and thin straps. Buttoned at the back and fitted at the waist with a thin belt that ties at the front. Breathtaking bouillonné work consisting of seven rows of taffeta flounces sewn and wavy at the chest, armpits and bottom of the dress ending in a pointed train. Work of cut in bias at the chest and bottom of the train. No lining or trace of label but definitely a work of French Haute Couture. Note a repair on 3 cm at the bottom of the train (invisible), otherwise good structure of the very solid taffeta. Very good condition of color and conservation.
