Pierre Cardin Couture woolen Coat
A wide and long ivory woolen coat labelled Pierre Cardin Paris New-York dating from the main creative years of the couturier. Thick ivory wool woven with small herringbones and lining with cream acetate. Large topstitches, buttons in shiny black bakelite, real round shaped pockets, back applied with a large tab with reminding to the collar and the shoulders. Pierre Cardin declines the modern graphic and lunar style developped in the 1970 s closely linked to geometric abstraction by the french artists Vasarely, Mondrian, Calder or Delaunay. A wink to the Palais Bulle by Antti Lovag and concrete igloos, Pierre Cardin's property which overlooked the Mediterranean sea.
