Day Dress in Crepe and Lace Circa 1935/1940
Elegant day dress in wine-red or burgundy silk crepe from the late 1930s. Loose dress with round collar and matching mechanical lace charms. The headcarf shawl collar drapes itself elegantly over the shoulders and back, the sleeves are short and a pleated frill at the bottom of the dress are all in matching burgundy lace. The skirt with small background is finely pleated and sewn at the waist. No closing or opening as is often the case for the dresses of this period. No under-dress. No label. All finishes are Couture and hand-stitched. Very good condition of color and conservation.
