Majestic evening or formal long dress in scarlet silk chiffon by Maison Alexis de Fursac in Paris from the 1990s. Pleated boat neckline at the bust, long sleeves buttoned at the cuffs and a large built-in cape that ends in a mini-train, batwing style. Matching red taffeta under-dress with slit back, lined with chiffon and a long flared over-dress, giving the silhouette plenty of ease. The dress is hand-sewn, with a zip fastening at the back and the label indicating Alexis de Fursac Paris. The dress is clean, with no stains or holes. Good colour and condition.
