Iconic Russian blouse in purple satin and its skirt in cardinal silk velvet by Yves Saint Laurent Couture dating from the 2000s. Loose blouse with puffed sleeves and a front slit tied with a polychrome silk tassel cord. Raglan shoulders, bib and cuffs highlighted with braids applied with gold, red and orange trimmings. Matching richly braided belt with gold metal buckle set with rough coral stones. Blouse lined with cream silk crepeline and zip on one side. Tight skirt with flared bottom. Burgundy satin lining and side zip. No flaws, little or no wear. Very good general condition of colour and conservation.

Dimensions: Equivalent to French size 37-38. Blouse: shoulders 39 cm, sleeves 61 cm, chest 90-95 cm. Skirt: waist 97 cm, height 87 cm, hips 95 cm. Belt 80 cm x 4 cm.

This set have been presented in France in Lille and Toulon as part of the exhibition "Yves saint Laurent, a timeless wardrobe" in 2021 and 2022.
