A vintage Yves Saint Laurent jewellery powder compact designed by Robert Goossens and dating from the 1980s. Heart-shaped in gold metal and emerald green crystal, this jewellery powder compact is compact and comes with its pink powder, circular mirror and powder puff engraved with Yves Saint Laurent. Engraved on the back with Yves Saint Laurent Paris. For him, the heart is like a declaration of love to women. Yves Saint Laurent crystallised this devotion in a heart, seen on the bodice of his model and muse Victoire during his first fashion show. The heart is a recurring motif in his work. It can be found in jewellery, embroidery, prints, and in the famous “Love” he sent to his close friends as a greeting card. Note a very slight patina of age, but in good overall condition, with no visible flaws.
