Green and ink blue leather boots by John Galliano for Christian Dior Circa 2000
Circa 2000
France
An astonishing pair of high-heeled boots in ink-blue and green leather by Christian Dior under the direction of John Galliano, dating from the early 2000s. The shape is at once very historicist, simulating 18th-century shoes, but also very Design style, with a square toe and a high, streamlined heel simulating a stiletto heel seen from behind! The two long leather straps can also be tightened and tied at the ankle and calf, depending on the inspiration of the day. The Christian Dior label is engraved on the leather inside the shoes. The genius of Mr Galliano can be appreciated here. These shoes are rarely used (once or twice?) given the extreme cleanliness of the interior. A few micro-scratches that are not really visible. Very good colour and condition.
Dimensions: noted size 40 France, but rather equivalent to 38-39.
