Stunning evening gown in pink silk embroidered with pearls and sequins from Rolf & Cie in Paris, dating from the Twenties. Dress with thin straps, low waist and blonde lace bustier highlighted with peplum ruffles echoing the shoulders. Bloused effect with large rosette at the waist. The design is inspired by Mayan art, which was in vogue during those years of enthusiasm for ethnic-inspired styles. Rich embroidery on pink silk rep with geometric patterns alternating squares and diamonds embroidered with iridescent sequins, pearls and gold thread. Iridescent celluloid ribbed leaves accompany the movement of walking or dancing the Foxtrot! The bustier is lined with cream silk pongee stapled on the side. The fabrics are structurally in very good condition, with several sequins missing. Very good colour and condition. Dress to collect or wear.
