An iconic tailored jacket in sky blue mottled silk Toile by Cristobal Balenciaga Haute Couture, numbered 102494 and dating from the early 1960s. This jacket has a story behind it. It was made in one night by Monsieur Balenciaga himself for his decorator Janine Janet. Straight jacket with high waist, turn-down collar, and three matching buttons. Kimono-style sleeves with gussets under the armpits. Lined with sky blue taffeta and labeled Balenciaga, 10 Avenue Georges V Paris. Remarkable haute couture finishes. Very good condition, no flaws to report.
