Cocktail dress in lace and sequins by Louis Féraud Haute Couture Circa 1985

Black and wine lace cocktail dress embroidered with sequins by Louis Féraud Haute couture dating from the 1980s.  Short, form-fitting sheath dress with long sleeves and plunging neckline in the back fastened with a zip. Large bubbled rosette in black taffeta embroidered with black beads, punctuating the hips with a row of pleated and wavy frou-frou. Under-dress in black taffeta. Black silk label and white lettering Louis Féraud. No flaws, little or no service. Very good colour and condition.

Dimensions: Equivalent to French size 36-37. Height 99 cm, shoulders 38 cm, chest 88 cm, waist 70 cm, hips 91 cm, sleeves 55 cm.

Louis Féraud is a French designer, born in 1921. In 1950, he created his first Couture House in CANNES. He moved to Paris in 1955 and designed the entire wardrobe for the legendary BRIGITTE BARDOT. In 1978 and 1984, LOUIS FÉRAUD won the "Golden Thimble Award" for his French Haute-Couture collections. The designer was also crowned Prince of the Art of Living in 1991 and received the Légion d'Honneur in 1995. In 1999, a Dutch group bought the company, then sold 90% of it to the German ESCADA Group in 2002. In 2003, Louis Féraud opened its showroom on rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré in Paris.
