A lovely lady's evening hat with a large asymmetrical beret dating from the Second World War period. Black silk satin with scarlet velvet ribbons, lining in stiff burlap and cream grosgrain. To note slight crushing which needs a little reshaping and pampering, but the silk and velvet are stable and have no defects. No claws but well made by a professional hatter. Very good condition of colour and conservation.
