Ethnic Ottoman Kaftan coat treated in a reversible way, from Turkey. On the right side, a finely striped Gros de Tours cherry silk, with side slits and printed cotton lining. Treated as in the photo, this kaftan is shown upside down, revealing an Indian woman printed on a wooden plank indigo background with boteh motifs, dating from the 19th century. Two slits as pockets, one of which is in Russian printed cotton Ikat style. Kaftan entirely stitched by hand in parallel bands. Finished in black silk braids around the edge. Clean and flawless despite a very slight patina. Very good condition of color and conservation.
Measurement: Equivalent size 38/40. Height 120 cm, sleeves 60 cm, shoulders 39 cm. Circumference at the bottom of the coat 160 cm.
