Hermès carré or scarf entitled "Vaisseaux et Frégates" with navy blue edges and drawings in shades of yellow, blue, brown and beige. Drawing by Philippe Ledoux whose first edition was released in 1964, that is probably a later reissue from the years 1990/2000. Printed fluid silk serge with a cream background and hand-topstitched edges. Motifs representing vessels and frigates with European flags, boats full of soldiers and strong symbols of navigation and its beliefs (rudder, bow representing Triton, mermaids, cannons, etc.). Label Hermès at the top right indicating Hermès Paris and signature of Ledoux at the bottom center. Note three to four tiny yellow halos (2 mm maximum) difficult to observe otherwise very good general condition of color and conservation.
Rating mentioned Rare and Quite Sought-after for the edition of 1964 on "Carré d'art d'Hermès" by Geneviève Fontan at ARFON 2017 on page 229.
