Haute Couture or cocktail little black dress in muslin and Caudry lace from the designer house Christian Dior directed by Marc Bohan. Straight dress with batwing sleeves and interesting pointed cutouts in Caudry lace on the neckline, shoulders and slightly puffed sleeves. Backgounf fabric in shaded and striped muslin and unde-dress in black silk crepe. Elegant fastenings with matching buttons on the back closing the round collar lined with velvet. Velvet belt with hooks on one side, decorated with a draped braid to tie. The level of construction of this dress and the Couture finishes are worthy of the largest fashion designer house in the world. Artistic Director of the designer house Jean Patou from 1954 to 1957, Marc Bohan joined the designer house Christian Dior in 1957 where he would oversee creations in London and New York. Departing from Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan was appointed artistic director of the famous designer house in 1961. He holds the record for longevity at Dior since he will not give up his place to Gianfranco Ferré until 1989. He will maintain the famous designer house at a very high level of prestige.
