A Bibi "Choucroute" Hat in salmon velvet inspired by Josephine Baker Circa 1940
Extravagant architectural Bibi made of brown and salmon velvet, of the type worn by artists such as Josephine Baker. Pleated turban enclosing the head in a skullcap, topped with three large velvet-covered wadded edges. Lining in cream silk pongee. Very slight traces of soiling on a padding and fragile lining. Otherwise good general condition of colours and conservation.
