An Art Deco Dress in Printed Silk in Ballets Russes style Circa 1925
Interesting sac dress in printed silk from the 1925s. Silk pongee printed in golden bronze, black and yellow, with random geometric patterns from the Cubist and Art Deco period. Interesting friezes with neo-classical motifs inspired by the work of Mariano Fortuny and the Ballets Russes by Serge de Diaghilev, notably in the costumes of the ballet "l'Après-midi d'un faune" (Afternoon of a Faun) by Nijinsky. Some creased marks, otherwise very good condition of color and conservation.
