An iconic red knitted jumper by Rei Kawakubo for the Comme des Garçons ‘Blood and Roses’ collection, dating from 2014–2015. A long-sleeved jumper in red stretch wool knit, featuring appliqué and embroidery of five large roses knitted in rolls in various shades of red. The contrast of materials and the combination of blood red and vermilion bring a unique boldness, making this jumper a true work of conceptual art. White label with black lettering indicating Comme des Garçons, Made in Japan, size S. No flaws, holes or stains; the jumper has been worn very little or not at all. Excellent condition in terms of colour and preservation.
