Elegant cocktail dress in black georgette silk crepe embroidered with black tubular beads with vermicular motifs. Close-fitting sheath dress drawing a very glamorous silhouette. 3/4 sleeves slightly rolled up. Mao high collar closing the dress on the back with three buttons covered with black silk crepe and zip to the lower back. Two pockets at the front mark the hips. Bodice with straps under the dress in black taffeta. Label black background white graphic Ceil Chapman. Excellent condition of color and conservation.
Ceil Chapman was an American fashion designer who worked in New York from the 1940s to the 1960s. She was known for creating glamorous evening dresses and working with famous clients, including television and film actresses.
